I am incredibly excited to introduce the Thursday Night Explorers Guild (Guild). While I enjoy playing games competitively, and I do, very much so, I also really enjoy digging deeper into different games and graphic novels. I have always been a “watch all of the DVD extras” kind of person, so to be able to do that with other people makes me happy.

What is the Guild?

The Guild is a group of Members who want to learn more about board games and/or graphic novels in a non-competitive environment.

How does the Guild work?

Every Month a list of board games and graphic novels will be released. Each list will have a common thread, be it a designer, author, artist, theme, mechanic, etc. Every Thursday evening, Guild Members can meet and earn Guild Points by reading and/or playing titles on the lists.

Gamagora will host an Expedition Game each week where we will briefly discuss how that game fits into the thread. We will then teach the game and play. We will not be recording scores, as the Expedition Games are focused on exploring a concept. Members who are not a part of the Guild are more than welcome to attend an Expedition Game and receive Event Points, but won’t receive Guild Points.

Even though there is a small competition for most Guild Points (which can earn you a trophy and Mytho Coins), the Guild is a group effort and everyone can earn points together.

Unlike other Lounge Events, Members can join the Guild at any point in the month, but obviously the earlier you sign up, the more titles you will be able to get through. So, keep a look out on the Members Discord for the Registration links.
