Oh, this Versus Tournament was crazy.

I finally figured out how to play the game, having the most impressive (if I say so myself) turn around. I went from losing every single one of my games the first week, to winning every single one of my games in the second week. I ended up taking the top spot of my group. David, just could not be taken down, winning all of his games, both in week 1 and week 2. It was infuriating. Ryan, after putting off his games until the end of the week, ended up taking the top spot in his group by PD alone. His last game against Kris, ended up costing him the bye for the finals.

Because of that loss, David and I were automatically entered in the finals, and Ryan, Freda, Wade and Cameron duked it out in the semi-finals. The Wade vs Freda games were so close there was only 1 PD between the two of them, meaning the scores were tied for the first game, Wade pulling out a Science Victory, and then Wade beat Freda by 1 point in the second game. In the Cameron vs Ryan game, Ryan won by Military stealing Cameron’s points, giving Ryan a +4 PD. But unfortunately for Ryan, the second game Cameron almost beat him by Military but ended up taking out Ryan with +17 PD.

The Wade vs Me game was almost taken by Military, but the last card was too expensive, but I ended up taking a Science Victory instead. The second game was tight but I ended up taking a regular ole point victory. Cameron vs David was really close, David taking the lead by only 4 points. The second game was even crazier, David pulling a Military Victory out under Cameron’s almost Science Victory and one 1 point difference.

The final came down to David and me. David took the first victory, beating me by 3 points. The second game David had so many more points than me, 48 to my 19, but I scienced those points right out of his pocket! I ended up being David’s only loss in the entire tournament and going from losing every single one of my games in the first round I WON THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT! In your face, David!
