Summer Passport-2019

Sep 3, 2019 | Lounge

The inaugural Summer Passport was a hoot and a half. Everyone had a blast and we had a blast getting to see all of the selfies. My favorite part of the Passport was getting to see strangers become friends because they needed to finish a game, or get much needed info on a Hidden Gem. People would stop into the Geekhouse just to check out the leaderboard and celebrate that they had edged someone out or bemoan getting knocked out.

The Passport included board games to play, graphic novels to read, events to attend, Friendly Local Game Stores to visit, and Hidden Gems to find.

The Selfies were by far, the most amusing part of the Passport. And it looks like everyone had as much fun taking them and we did getting to see them!

We had four participants who completed the entire Passport and were automatically invited to the Season Finale. Cameron took first, by a narrow game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, then Aranea (again only because she lost the aforementioned RPS game), then Polly, then AJ.

We held 3 Roll Offs, where every stamp earned got an entry into the drawing. We then drew 5 names for each Roll Off and, just like the name implies, they would roll dice for prizes. Sometimes the dice loved you, sometimes they hated you, but everyone walked away with something.

The 15 people with the most stamps were invited to the Season Finale. There were games, auctions, triva and prizes. It was the perfect end to an amazing Passport!
