Just a couple days ago Marvel Entertainment dropped a bunch of preview videos on YouTube. I watched them all: WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Ms. Marvel. I’d have to say, I was looking forward to them all, but now that I’ve seen previews … eh, not so much. Maybe it was my expectations coming off of Infinity War and End Game, but they all looked … cheap.

But one preview of a show that I hadn’t even heard of piqued my interested, What If …?

First of all, disclaimer: I am not the Marvel fan of the family. That title goes to David. The only Marvel titles I read growing up was X-Men and Uncanny X-Men. So my only real knowledge of Marvel is the MCU. But when I saw the What If …? trailer I got excited, “They’re doing Elseworlds!” And apparently that is the equivalent of calling the Avengers the Justice League, but whatever. It looked really cool.

I do love animated shows and this one looks beautiful. I really like the animation style and the character designs look awesome. If they can hold on to non-campy-ness that Into the Spiderverse managed, this could end up being really cool.

Also, how bad ass does Captain Carter look?
