I’m writing this from possibly another planet. Pretty much the entire West Coast is on fire and the air quality has been deemed “Hazardous” and I think that’s worse than “Very Unhealthy” but I’m not 100% sure. It seems worse.

So … 2020, huh?

And David just reminded me that we still have four months to go. Gross. So, with the uncertainty of the coming apocalypse, we have decided to postpone the reopening of the physical Geekhouse. We are now shooting for a first quarter 2021 reopening in which we hope to have a much bigger space with some new changes that I am busting with excitement over.

But the disappointment of not seeing all of your mask covered faces is diminished slightly by the sheer excitement of what we have coming really soon. Over the last two weeks we have been redesigning our webpage and are on schedule to launch on November 5th. Remember, remember the fifth of November.

This new webpage is, first of all, going to be awesome, if I do say so myself. The most important aspect is our online store. We have a ton of stock and are getting new products in regularly and we want you guys to have access to it! So, come November, we will be offering home delivery to our local Geeks.

However the whole online thing lacks one of our best selling points that the physical Geekhouse offered; David and me. I know that sounds a little egotistical, and maybe it is, but I know for a fact that most of you would shop with us not because you couldn’t find what you were looking for anywhere else, there is always Amazon after all, but because we have played most of the games and can give you our opinions on them, whether we liked them or not. So, in addition to the online store, we are launching our first blog doing what we do best, just talking about everything geek.

We are also trying to move everyone over to texting us when you have a question or need a recommendation. We might be slightly slower at responding than when we were right in front of you, but, let’s face it, we miss this just as much as you do so we are here to chat.

This new website will be open to all of our local Geeks, not just Members, but we have some new stuff for Members in the works, so stay tuned for more info on that.

Anyway, we look forward to this next phase of Gamagora Geekhouse and can’t wait to hear from you guys again!
