Well, it’s been a whole year since we reopened in our new location! Can you believe it? We are loving our new space and so have you guys! Thanks for visiting over the last year and we can’t wait to see you again for your next board game purchase. Over the last few days I was looking over the ever exciting numbers and it was actually fun seeing what games you guys were the most interested in. So, I decided to share with everyone top 10 games you guys bought over the last year.
10. Betrayal at House on the Hill (3rd Edition)
Betrayal at House on the Hill is a cooperative game (right up until there is a betrayer) where you are discovering what secrets and horrors the House on the Hill holds. This new edition adds more content as well as a slightly easier way to learn the game. It has fixed a few of the problems where you could end up stuck in a room and break the game and makes each experience more uniform in enjoyability.
This game was released in August 2022, rated 7.4 on BGG and was our 10th best seller this year.
9. Codenames: Duet
Codenames: Duet is a word association game. Like it’s predecessor Codenames, you have a grid of words and you are trying to strategically have your teammates guess specific cards, and not others. Unlike the original Codenames, this is a cooperative version that can be played with two players. This game has actually replaced the original Codenames for us as the superior game.
This game was released in 2017, is rated 7.5 on BGG and is still one of our best sellers in 9th place this year.
8. 7 Wonders: Duel
7 Wonders: Duel is a two player version of 7 wonders that focuses on acquiring cards to out play your opponent. This version now has three ways to win, points as usual, science and military victory. Unlike 7 Wonders, every move that is good for you, is bad for your opponent, and likewise, everything bad for you, is good for them.
This game was actually released in 2015, is rated an 8.1 on BGG and is one of our (and obviously your) favorite two player games. It ended up in 8th place this year.
7. Poetry for Neanderthals
Poetry for Neanderthals is a silly word game where you can only give clues with one syllable words. If you speak more good than you should, you get hit in the head with an inflatable club.
This party game was released in 2020 and is rated 6.7 on BGG, and it’s silly fun has landed it as the 7th best seller.
6. Unstable Unicorns
Unstable Unicorns is a crazy card game with unicorns! What more could you ask for? This cute game is mean and ruthless as you try to take out your opponents with powers on your cards. In addition to this game, the Unstable Unicorns vinyl unicorns blind boxes (which include a special card for each mystery unicorn purchased) was one of our best selling accessories this year.
Released in 2017 with a 6.3 rating on BGG it landed in 6th place for best sellers this year.
5. Azul
Azul is a tile drafting game where you try to build specific patterns in a specific order to score the most points. The tiles are just as beautiful as they are tactile.

4. Coup
Coup is a wonderful hidden role, bluffing game that plays quickly (15 minutes) and is great with a larger group.
